Courtney and Devin

Courtney and Devin picked Admiral’s Green and its amazing view of the city as the backdrop for their ceremony and reception. They had their ceremony on the deck, followed by their dinner and dance in the main reception space. The theme of their wedding was rustic and incorporated burlap, wood slabs and babies breath into their decor. We kept it simple with white tablecloths, provided by the venue, burlap table runners and white chair covers tied with a champagne sash. The centerpieces were put together by the bride’s parents and their families added special touches around the room.

Rebecca and Devin

Rebecca loved the look of black and white and wanted to incorporate those colours with a rustic theme and we pulled it off at Lester’s Farm Chalet, the perfect space for a rustic themed wedding. We covered the tables in white linens with black table runners, the chairs were left bare, and the centerpieces were made with a wooden slab, jute covered wine bottle with white anemones inside and floating candles in mason jars.

St. Teresa’s Parish Hall was the venue this lovely couple picked for both their ceremony and reception and that stone wall was the perfect backdrop to compliment their choice of vintage decor. The ceremony was held in front of a small backdrop with a series of cylinder vases and floating candles and votive candle holders hung on the fabric. The chairs were dressed in white spandex chair covers and blush satin sashes. When it was time for the reception, the backdrop was extended, positioning the section used in the ceremony behind the bride and groom, and blush uplighting was added. The tables were dressed in white with blush table runners and accent candles and centerpieces were added. We used 3 kinds of complimentary centerpieces. The first was a pile of hard covered books with a vintage tea cup on top, a small hydrangea added and pearls strung across the books. The second incorporated more hydrangea with a bird cage in the center, with pearls strung through the flowers. The third was a rose gold lantern, opened with flowers spilling out, next to it a small rose bowl with pearls in the bottom and a floating candle. Wooden signs and table numbers were added.

The downstairs room at the Knights of Columbus was the setting for this reception and dance.  Purple uplighting was used to highlight the backdrops and it added a lovely glow throughout the evening.  The bride made her own centerpieces of wood slabs, mason jars and flowers.  Wooden table numbers and signs were added on the banquet, cake and guest book tables.  The focal point was on the head table backdrop, which stretched the entire length of the large head table, adding crystal curtains and lots of lovely drapery to highlight the head table.  Burlap table runners were used on the tables and gold glitter bottles accented the head table decor, white spandex chair covers and eggplant sashes covered the chairs.  We also created a custom monogram gobo for the dance floor.

The Atrium or Garden Room at the Sheraton Hotel is such a beautiful space for any event but especially a wedding that brought travellers from all over the world together to celebrate.  We created the bouquets and boutinneers with various greenery, thistle and beautiful calla lilies which were a favorite of the bride's.  Ivory stripe linens dressed the tables with a birch slab in the center to hold the centerpieces, which where created with ivory hydrangea in rustic containers, mason jars with floating candles and Newfoundland beach rocks sat next to table numbers that represented the couple's travels.  Each table was numbered with a Gate and a destination the couple had visited together.  The bride made airplane place cards for her guests.  We added entrance decor to the Battery/Avalon rooms where the dance took place and draped the stair railings to soften the look.

The Atrium or Garden Room at the Sheraton Hotel is such a beautiful space for any event but especially a wedding.  The ceremony and reception were held in the same space, with the dance happening in the Avalon/Battery rooms which we decorated as well.  The ceremony was simple in terms of decor, using white spandex chair covers with champagne chair sashes, aisle runner and rose topiaries that we hung in the bigger trees in the space.  For the reception, the couple opted for a sweetheart table, along with their daughter, which we dressed in a sequin champagne tablecloth.  The other tables had white tablecloths with burlap table runners, and rustic centerpieces - wooden slabs with mason jars, one of which contained a fresh flower arrangement and the rest floating candles.  In the Avalon/Battery rooms we decorated the chairs the same way with mason jars and floating candles.  String lights were hung over the dance floor.  White uplighting was used to accent the large trees.

The couple held their ceremony and reception at Lester's Farm Chalet, the ceremony was set outside with chairs rented from a local company which we decorated with champagne sashes.  Burlap panels were used on the pre-existing archway and rustic elements added as ceremony decor.  Inside, the chalet was set for reception with white tablecloths, burlap and lace table runners, wood slab centerpieces with twine covered wine bottles, mason jars with floating candles and creamy white hydrangea.  A backdrop was added behind the head table to complete the bride's vision of the space.

he Yellow Belly was the perfect venue to compliment the decor the couple had chosen.  This rustic wedding had burlap and lace accents; burlap and lace table runners, lace chair sashes and other touches.  Centerpieces were a collection of mason jars, flowers with gold beads and a gold wine bottle atop a birch wood slab.  Table numbers and other signs were printed using burlap and lace backgrounds.  White uplighting behind the head table accented the natural brick.

As not to cover the beautiful view from the Manuel's River Interpretation Centre, we went with a backdrop behind the head table that was very airy and flowy; sheer voille and gray string curtains were used to create a frame for the head table.  White satin chair covers and light pink sashes were used on the chairs, burlap runners with lace in the center and white tablecloths were used on the tables.  Centerpieces of different sized mason jars with a floral arrangement and floating candles sat atop a birch wood slab.  A custom monogram gobo was designed for the dance floor.
