Krista and David

Quidi Vidi Brewery was the backdrop for Krista and David’s nautical themed wedding, they had their ceremony and reception in the newly renovated space. We used a combination of tables, chairs and benches to set up for the ceremony and reception. Navy and white striped table runners were used on the beautiful wooden tables at the venue and accented on the special tables, that were dressed in white linens. Centerpieces were put together of different blue and white flowers and the couple provided nautical items for the guest book and gift tables.

Courtney and Devin

Courtney and Devin picked Admiral’s Green and its amazing view of the city as the backdrop for their ceremony and reception. They had their ceremony on the deck, followed by their dinner and dance in the main reception space. The theme of their wedding was rustic and incorporated burlap, wood slabs and babies breath into their decor. We kept it simple with white tablecloths, provided by the venue, burlap table runners and white chair covers tied with a champagne sash. The centerpieces were put together by the bride’s parents and their families added special touches around the room.

Bekah and Evan

Bekah and Evan had decided upon a non-traditional approach to their wedding day. They chose the Rocket Room to have their ceremony and a short champagne reception followed by a more relaxed reception in the backyard of a relative. She wanted the decor at Rocket Bakery to be natural, requesting greenery and lavender as the main focal points. The aisle was lined with garlands of greenery with vases of white wax flowers, wheat, lavender and rosemary positioned between. There are 2 tall windows in the room, and we were tasked with creating a flower wall between them, we tied bundles of wax flower, lavender, wheat and rosemary and hung them on fishing line to create the illusion of floating flowers. Small vases of flowers were left around the room to accent the signing table and roses were tied to the back of the vintage chair used to sign the registry and as pew markers.

Steven and Cecilia

We had the privilege of working at Alt Hotel, one of the new hotels in the city, it has a lovely banquet space that overlooks the harbour-front. The couple went with gold and turquoise decor, and provided the centerpieces themselves which consisted of florals and succulents. We provided white table linens, white chair covers with gold chair sashes, gold table runners, turquoise napkins and accents of gold sequin cloths.

Rebecca and Devin

Rebecca loved the look of black and white and wanted to incorporate those colours with a rustic theme and we pulled it off at Lester’s Farm Chalet, the perfect space for a rustic themed wedding. We covered the tables in white linens with black table runners, the chairs were left bare, and the centerpieces were made with a wooden slab, jute covered wine bottle with white anemones inside and floating candles in mason jars.

Open house at the Sheraton Hotel

We partnered with the Sheraton Hotel to decorate the Court Garden for a ceremony and reception and invited the public to come take a look!

The space was divided into a ceremony setup on one side and a reception setup on the other. We added white spandex chair covers to the chairs and tied champagne satin sashes in bows on the back. The tables were dressed in white with champagne table runners, gold chargers plates and long stemmed accent candles. The centerpieces were beautiful in blush and were provided from the Flower Studio. For the ceremony space, we added a backdrop, and floating candles in cylinder vases with rose petals as aisle decor.

Breanne and Mark

St. Teresa’s Parish Hall was the venue this lovely couple picked for both their ceremony and reception and that stone wall was the perfect backdrop to compliment their choice of vintage decor. The ceremony was held in front of a small backdrop with a series of cylinder vases and floating candles and votive candle holders hung on the fabric. The chairs were dressed in white spandex chair covers and blush satin sashes. When it was time for the reception, the backdrop was extended, positioning the section used in the ceremony behind the bride and groom, and blush uplighting was added. The tables were dressed in white with blush table runners and accent candles and centerpieces were added. We used 3 kinds of complimentary centerpieces. The first was a pile of hard covered books with a vintage tea cup on top, a small hydrangea added and pearls strung across the books. The second incorporated more hydrangea with a bird cage in the center, with pearls strung through the flowers. The third was a rose gold lantern, opened with flowers spilling out, next to it a small rose bowl with pearls in the bottom and a floating candle. Wooden signs and table numbers were added.

Business Breakfast at the Sheraton Hotel

The Court Garden makes for a wonderful space for any event, but this day we decorated for a business breakfast. An intimate meeting over breakfast in such a beautiful setting is a great way to start any day!

The decor was simple yet stunning, adding the freshness of summer with greenery runners on the tables and the warmth of ivory linens and chair covers. Cylinder vases with floating candles and votive candles were added to the greenery, champagne sashes were added to the chairs and the tables were finished with gold charger plates and ivory napkins.

Jackie and Will

Jackie and Will picked a lovely venue in Admiral’s Green, and as a result THE best view of the city in the area! They wanted simple decor with royal purple as their colour of choice. White spandex chair covers with royal purple sashes added that pop of purple as soon as you entered the room. We also added purple in the uplighting, that was placed behind the head table in the room. The tables were simply white tablecloths with a live flower arrangement, accented with candles. Accents were added to the special tables, and entrance decor to the foyer area. Simple, elegant decor in an already lovely space!

Laura and Chris

The Clovelly Gazebo was the backdrop for the wedding reception of this lovely couple.  We wanted the decor to be light, romantic and elegant to enhance the already beautiful space.  The backdrop behind the unique head table shape was airy, with gathered white sheer tied with gold.  The wedding party was large, and Clovelly used a curved table to create a pleasing V shape to accommodate their larger size.  Gold sashes were used on top of white chair covers, serenity/dusty blue was used in the table runner across the white table linen.  Both colours were picked up in accents, place cards and other elements of the decor.  Simple centerpieces of cylinder vases with floating candles, accented with votive candles decorated the tables, and once lit created that romantic glow the couple wanted.  We hung a crystal chandelier and white sheer over the dance floor area.  The couple decided on custom, "when we were ____" to name their tables, we created, printed and framed the pictures and I'm sure their guests enjoyed seeing pictures of the couple at various ages.

Sheraton Hotel Lobby Display Case

We were very excited to be able to decorate the display case in the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel!  We decided to go with a simple approach to the decor.  The wall of the case was draped in white sheer, tied with a blush coloured sash.  We added a small table and created a vintage feel with the centerpiece.

If you haven't chosen a venue for your wedding yet, the Sheraton is a wonderful choice, we think you'll be impressed!

Brokering Wishes, A Make a Wish Fundraiser

For the second year in a row, I was happy to be able to participate in the Brokering Wishes Fundraiser Gala held at the CLB.  The room was draped in black, the tables were dressed with white tablecloths, black napkins and a royal blue table runner to highlight one of the Make a Wish colours.  White spandex chair covers were used on the chairs with gold satin sashes tied on an angle.  Simple centerpieces of gold wine bottles and vases with floating candles completed the tablescape.  We added gold sequin tablecloths to the entry, and ticket tables and added white drapery accented with gold sequin to the entrance.
